Key Role Details
We are looking for quantitative researchers with hands-on experience building signals, testing factors,
and running systematic strategies who want to shape the future of AI.
The work involves designing alpha research problems, building feature construction examples, developing backtest critiques, and producing gold-standard answers and grading rubrics for AI-generated quantitative work.
Comfort with ambiguous, multi-step research scenarios and meticulous attention to methodological soundness (overfitting, lookahead bias, regime sensitivity) is important.
Key proficiency areas include: Signal Generation, Factor Research, Backtesting, Risk Modeling, Portfolio
Optimization, Execution, and Statistical Methodology.
You must be able to commit at least 15 hours per week for this role.
The process includes:
Introductory questionnaire (5 minutes)
Technical test (candidates will receive compensation for passing the test)
Overview
You will be engaged as an independent contractor in a fully remote role that can be
completed on your own schedule.
Project contracts can be lengthened, shortened, or ended early depending on needs and performance.
Your work at Qofi will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
Payments are made weekly via direct deposit based on hours worked.
Positions are available now. New hires are able to start immediately.
Time Commitment
Flexible, project-based work. Contribute as
little as 15 hours/week or scale up based on

Compensation
Highly competitive rates starting at $150-200/Hr.
Compensation increases with tenure and added
responsibility.

Qualifications
Required
3+ years as a quantitative researcher at a systematic hedge fund, prop trading firm, or quant desk
Demonstrated expertise in signal generation, factor research, backtesting, or systematic strategy development
Advanced proficiency with Python or comparable research stacks and statistical methodology
Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
Interest in AI/ML applications in finance
