Key Role Details
We are looking for long/short equity investors with deep fundamental research experience and a track
record of generating ideas across sectors who want to shape the future of AI.
The work involves developing investment memos, position-level reasoning traces, and pitches with full valuation work (DCF, multiples, scenario analysis), along with gold-standard answers and grading rubrics for AI-generated investment work.
Comfort with ambiguous, multi-step investment scenarios and meticulous attention to thesis construction and risk framing is important.
Key proficiency areas include: Fundamental Equity Research, Valuation (DCF and Multiples), Catalyst
Identification, Short Thesis Construction, Portfolio Construction, and Hedging and Risk Management.
You must be able to commit at least 15 hours per week for this role.
The process includes:
Introductory questionnaire (5 minutes)
Technical test (candidates will receive compensation for passing the test)
Overview
You will be engaged as an independent contractor in a fully remote role that can be
completed on your own schedule.
Project contracts can be lengthened, shortened, or ended early depending on needs and performance.
Your work at Qofi will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
Payments are made weekly via direct deposit based on hours worked.
Positions are available now. New hires are able to start immediately.
Time Commitment
Flexible, project-based work. Contribute as
little as 15 hours/week or scale up based on
availability.
Compensation
Highly competitive rates starting at $100-150/Hr.
Compensation increases with tenure and added
responsibility.
About Qofi
Qualifications
Required
4+ years on a long/short equity pod, single-manager hedge fund, or comparable buy-side seat
Demonstrated expertise in fundamental investment analysis, thesis construction, and risk framing
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation (DCF, LBO, comparables), and forecasting
Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
Interest in AI/ML applications in finance
